Looking for a fun, new spot for happy hour? Masa y Agave is your place, and with over 400 agave-based spirits to choose from, you’ll never be without options. The Yelapa Fizz—made with fresh fruit juice and floral flavors—is one you should try for its great taste. Not to mention the fact that it’s whipped together by Courtenay Greenleaf, a first-level certified mezcalier.

“The cocktail was inspired by a trip I took with my fiancé to do Raicilla research in Jalisco, in and near the coastal fishing town of Yelapa,” she says. “I just love the aroma of lavender in the drink.”

DuJour snagged the recipe below.

YELAPA FIZZ

1½ oz. La Venenosa Maximiliana Raicilla
1 oz. Cocchi Americano
½ oz. Homemade lavender syrup
1 oz. Pineapple juice
¼ oz. Lemon juice
Top with Soda water
Dash of Homemade lavender bitters or dried lavender flowers

In a small tin of a cocktail shaker, add the Raicilla, Cocchi, lavender syrup and the pineapple juice. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain over fresh ice into a tall glass. Top with soda water and lavender bitters or flowers and garnish with a lemon twist.
